The Grapevine
Alert
Effective Fall 2022, the Black Resource Center is enhancing the way we market events and opportunities to our newsletter subscribers in order to maximize our outreach. Please read the updated procedures below prior to submitting events that you would like us to publicize. We have received plenty of feedback regarding the length of our newsletter and how sometimes, important opportunities are missed or overlooked because of the amount of content included in our newsletter. Moving forward, the BRC newsletter will be used to market internal events & programs as well as a couple of featured opportunities that align with the BRC's mission.
If you would like us to promote an event or program, please utilize the form below, and we will add it to our partner events calendar. If you are a member of one of our affiliated organizations (including, but not limited to: Black Student Union, Black Graduate and Professional Student Association, Black Staff Association, NPHC), one of the principal members of your organization will be provisioned access to the community calendar to add your events to.
If you would like us to promote a scholarship, internship, research position, or job posting, these opportunities will now be hosted directly on our website. Our Opportunities page has a separate Google Form requesting specific information to publicize your opportunity. These will remain on a spreadsheet on our website to allow for students to easily reference them without having to search for a specific newsletter.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Facilities, Operations, & Events Coordinator.
