First-Year Students
BSU Experience UCSD Program
History
Every spring, the Black Resource Center and Black Student Union (BSU) partner with SPACES to offer a unique opportunity for newly admitted students who are interested in connecting with the Black community at UC San Diego, the annual Experience UCSD Program (formally known as BSU Overnight Program). Founded in 2009 by Black student leaders, this program invites participants to campus for an engaging experience to connect with current Black students, interact with a variety of faculty and staff members, and learn more about Black experiences at UC San Diego.
Throughout the program, students interact with members of the many Black student organizations, including the Black Student Union, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Black Greek Letter Organizations, and more! Students also will engage with a variety of campus resources that support the community and learn more about how to maximize their experience at UC San Diego.
The BSU Overnight Program is truly a celebration of your accomplishment of being admitted to a world-class university, and we look forward to welcoming you into our community! For more information about the Black Student Union Experience UCSD Program, please email us at brc@ucsd.edu.

The Overnight Program is open to any newly admitted student to UC San Diego who is interested in learning more about Black experiences at UC San Diego. Upon admission to UC San Diego, you should receive more information about how to apply via your email and New Student Portal.
